Micro mobility and active forms of a travel and predominant elements of sustainable cities. It is therefore essential to promote this type of travel and mobility through the relevant political instruments, this of course in addition to providing the required infrastructure that encourages individuals to use them. Such infrastructure includes but not limited to Sidewalks, pedestrian crossings, bike lanes and elements of safety for pedestrians in streets. This urban furniture should be available to encourage all sorts of road users to access the roads safely, this includes women, children and individuals with physical challenges.

The project is built on phases 5 and 6 of the European SUMP Guidelines. It includes setting SMART targets for urban mobility in the City for 2030 as a target year. The project concludes with a set of 15 measures to achieve the SUMP targets. Measures include introducing new infrastructure for Active Travel and Public Transport, optimizing the current public transport network and introducing soft interventions such as Passenger Information Systems. The project is built on the first four phases of the European SUMP Guidelines. It includes assessment of 6th of October City’s readiness to sustainable urban mobility planning, diagnostic of the present status of mobility, developing a common vision for mobility for the city. The project followed a balanced approach between quantitative and qualitative methodologies in future scenario development for mobility and related GHG emissions. Egypt has an abundant solar and wind energy resources that are left not fully utilized, they should be used an alternative for the current fossil fuels which contradict with the minimum sustainable energy standards required for environmental protection and to curb greenhouse gas emissions resulting in climate change. This report addresses the process of energy transformation towards 100 % renewable while mitigating social and economic impacts of this transformation. This policy paper aims to explain one of the successful measures that has proven significant reduction in transport-based emissions worldwide. It introduces the Low-Emission Zones (LEZs) concept in Egypt in a manner accessible to experts and non-experts alike. Investigative journalism appeared in the early 20th century as a necessity for the development of society. A legendary investigation was the one led by the two journalists Bernstein and Woodward when they uncovered what was later known as the Watergate scandal. The FES Egypt Office presents this guide, which emphasized how media, also known as the fourth power, and in particular investigative journalism are an important partner in development, in a time of political and social change since the outbreak of the so-called Arab Spring. The concept of citizenship has evolved over the centuries, to reflect nowadays citizens' civil, political, social, economic and cultural rights. Citizenship should include all strata and categories of society, without distinction or exclusion based on gender, color, social class affiliation, ethnic group or religious denomination.
