Ensuring equitable access to public services and protecting the most vulnerable in society has been a long-standing commitment of FES worldwide and in Egypt. Furthermore, it’s a cornerstone in achieving social and political stability of the country.

Our Projects in Egypt:

In this field of work, FES Egypt, along with our local partner organizations, has covered a wide range of topics that promote social and gender justice.

• Social protection: In this field, FES engages and complements government efforts to set a social protection floor for all Egyptian citizens.  
• Health care and education: FES advances strategies for a socially just provision of health and public education services.
• Unemployment: FES works on strengthening programs that promote active labor market policies for marginalized groups, such as youth and women. Moreover, FES tries to encourage alternative employment models, while understanding the recent trends in the Egyptian labor market.
• Gender equality: FES advocates to advance women´s economic empowerment and ensure their participation in all aspects of public life.
