A New Chapter at Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Egypt

After a meaningful journey that began in 2023, Ronja Schiffer has concluded her role as Resident Representative of the office. During her time with us, she was an integral part of the team, contributing with dedication and energy to strengthening our work, deepening partnerships, and fostering constructive dialogue on key social and economic issues.

We are truly grateful for her leadership, commitment, and the positive spirit she brought to the office, and we wish her every success in the next chapter of her professional journey.

At the same time, we are pleased to welcome Almut Wieland-Karimi as Interim Director. With her extensive experience in international cooperation, policy dialogue, and Middle Eastern studies, Dr. Almut Wieland-Karimi brings valuable regional expertise and strategic insight to this new phase.
