The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) Egypt Office is headed by a German representative and has currently nine local employees, including two program managers.
The FES Egypt Office regularly offers university students of relevant subjects (e.g. social sciences, Islamic studies, economics, journalism, et al.) an insight into the field of international cooperation. Applicants must have completed at least their Bachelor’s degree. Preference is given to applicants who manifest strong interest in societal affairs.
For each intern, a detailed training plan is developed. They are supervised by the project manager responsible for their field of assignment. The working language is English. Since a major part of the project activities take place in Arabic, a basic knowledge of Arabic is mandatory.
Internships generally cover a period of two to maximum three months. Please note that the month of Ramadan (alternating annually) as well as July and August (summer breaks) are not suitable for an internship.
Please send the application to this e-mail address: recruitment.egypt@fes.de The demand for internships is high and we recommend applying early. Due to the limited number of openings we will apply a selection process to the incoming applications and inform you in due time, in any case no later than three months before.
